Sai Looking Well
Hey,
well it's now 12 30am.Took me 40 mins to get on here-again,gremlins (Sai,I need you home!)
Ethan's class Communion was today. The children looked great and it was a a lovely service.Ethan and a couple of other non-Catholic got a Blessing instead.I misseed Sai not being with us though,it didn't feel right.Afterwards there was refreshments provided in a tent behind the church.I wasn't in a mingling frame of mind so my mum and myself headed back to the car;the boys went and got a couple of things and then we went to the Marriot for a bit of lunch.Ethan has to go to church again tomorow at 11am as they are doing it al again-no long lie in this weekend!
I went over to visit hubby around 4pm.He's definately looking a lot better, has better colour in his face. He's off the drip too! Well he was told earlier today to drink free fluids ie as much water as he wants, but then was told he could eat by another doc, then Prof Keane came in and was a bit concerned he was being allowed free fluids! He told Sai to be cautious and asked if he was nauseous at all, which he isn't.Sai didn't tell me or Prof Keane that he'd had tea and toast and jelly and ice cream earlier! HELLO! I'm pretty sure Prof would be having kittens if he knew that!
John (I'm sure Sai has mentioned him-a friend he met in chemo who has just gone through cancer too) visited him today. He was saying that Sai doesn't look llike a 'cancer patient' now-Sai said he doesn't feel like one either now.
I had a wee bit of a strop when i had to leave the room while the nurses changed Sai's dressing,I mean what do they think i haven't seen?My God,i've been there by his side for the last 18 yrs!! It was a male nurse and a female student nurse (who was very nice and got me tuna sandwiches for tea from the tea trolley) I know Sai is the important one here but come on.Sai texted me later on and said the male nurse apoligized, then i felt bad-he's only doing his job but i couldn't help it,it was just how i felt-surplus to requirements.
He had a few blisters where the dressing was.It was a different type of dressing so he's obviously allergic to it,so they put on ahypo-allergenic one-well,after i mentioned it to the nurses although the Prof said a while before it'd need to be changed-the communication breaks down sometimes.
Anyway,he's getting there-one hurdle at a time!
Remember to pray for Madeleine.Miracles happen and i do feel she's going to be back with her family soon, she just has to be found safe and well.
Nite,Elaine. x
